Master Sculptor Andrea Blasich

A Rare Opportunity - Master Sculptor Andrea Blasic
(Limited Availability)

Usually taught from his studio in Marin County, Andrea Blasich is offering to teach a workshop on Sculpting. Design with Clay your own Character, at Center Stage Gallery in Burbank. The class is open to all levels. In this class Andrea Blasich will show the student his personal approach, which is the same approach Andrea has used in all the years during his work as a professional sculptor for the Entertainment Industry.

He will go over some of the maquettes he has created for work, as well some personal sculptures. While the approach is the same, the goal is of course a different one.

Andrea is asking that each applicant be reviewed prior to being accepted into the class. Your webiste will be viewed. Just a few images of your work is all that is needed, so that he will be able to put together a group that has an even level of experience for each class. Each class will consist of a maximum of 8 people. This gives Andrea the ability to give special attention and the appropriate floor space to each individual student.

From Artist:

I was born and raised in Milan, Italy. Since my early childhood I was immersed in the world of art.
Artists such as Michelangelo, Bernini, Troubetzkoy and Bugatti have inspired me greatly. I tried to understand their technique and how they captured the emotions of their subjects in their sculptures.

Making my art is my way to express myself in my truest, most personal form.
I put all my emotions in the sculptures and try to translate what I discover and learn from nature and
the simple day to day life into the clay as I am modeling it.

Usually I work with oil-based clay. The beauty and quickness of this medium lets me get right away to what I am trying to communicate. working an my sculptures as fast as possible is key for me, because I don't want to lose the "moment".

Hope to sculpt with you soon!
