A Weekly Gesture Study And Draw Over Series
Starting July 19, 2021
Mondays, 12 pm - 2 pm PDT Los Angeles
Learn how to 'see' and 'draw'. A weekly gesture study series where you will draw alongside Legendary Disney Animator Randy Haycock LIVE. Randy will be focusing on helping you find the strongest gesture and pose that best communicates STORY, CHARACTER and EMOTION. You will be learning with an emphasis on observation and capturing a moment from life that 'tells the story'. The Nine Old Men didn't study other animators drawings, they studied from life. You will learn from a 20 year veteran how to observe through exercises and analysis to help you find the best POSE that is readable and tells the STORY and will stand out in any portfolio and level up your animation and storyboards.
Assignments are given
Open to 2D, 3D, Stop Motion animators, Story Artists, Visual Storytellers and Illustrators and anyone creating the illusion of life.
By the end of this series you will never be able to look at the world the same way ever again. Everything you see is a drawing and you not only learn how to 'see' but how to 'draw'. Meet new friends.
